Prominent experts of the hospitality and tourism industry will meet at the 9th International Hotel Investment & Design Club Forum, Hotel Sacher in Vienna on 16th November 2016, to discuss “building for the future.”
This leading conference for hotel investors, developers and operators is for the first time organised by three well-known consulting firms. Frans-Jan Soede, the event founder and Managing Director of Hotel Asset Management, teamed up with Reburg & Partners and Michaeler & Partner.
This year’s forum is entitled “building for the future” and deals with the importance of architecture and design as a basis for sustainable hotel investment. “Hotel products are increasingly interchangeable. By great design, stories, art and culture they become unique and interesting not only for the guests but also for investors,” said Christoph Hoffmann, Managing Director of the 25hours Hotel Company.
Top-class speakers including Rupert Simoner, CEO of Vienna International Hotel Management, and Mike Haemmerli, Senior Vice President Development of Kempinski Hotels, discuss challenges facing the industry and in particular the positioning and branding of hotels to appeal to the next generation of guests.
James Dilley from the renowned London architects Jestico + Whiles summarizes the challenges facing the industry: “Through advances in communication, we have all become hunters and collectors in pursuit of the elusive experience, and travellers even more so. Today hotels have to provide the unique, the memorable, the extraordinary experience. As a result of this designers and hotel operators have to work more closely together than ever.”
Three prominent member podiums will discuss current trends and topics:
Crystal chandeliers and oriental rugs used to be the distinguishing traits of a top-class hotel, but what is the contemporary luxury experience? What are the consequences of on-going digitalization on hotel business models?
What exactly is sustainable hotel branding? The experts will analyse strategies for new hotel brands as well as effective makeovers for established names. For investors the trends in the transaction market are likely to be of particular interest as well as the market potential in CEE & SEE, in Russia and CIS.
Two highlights lead into the evening programme. The presentation of the Next Generation – Brand Award by Modul University, Vienna, and the XpreSS Networking, where conference participants can efficiently establish contacts.
