Julia Zolobova and Naiara García Azcona, a creative duo with a background in fashion buying have just launched their new genderless outerwear brand – Aryn Studio. Their first collection consists of four styles of coats that have been tailored to fit everyone and to remove barriers between genders, generations, time, and style.
The first Aryn Studio collection comes from a desire to craft special outerwear pieces that cannot be found in the fashion industry. It creates a balance between timeless appeal and quality mastery and comfort. Furthermore, it serves both women and men and represents an important starting point for future collections with various lengths, fabrics and colours.
The pin-sharp tailored coats are made of 100 percent wool by a three-generation family business in the North of Portugal. The first Aryn Studio collection comes in classic subtle colours with a refined feel, blending traditional viewing and finishing techniques with a modern touch. The mono-material fibre exteriors are hydrophobic, lightweight and have natural insulating and moisture-wicking properties. The founders prioritise dead-stock fabrics to support a circular fashion economy model and have incorporated the pre-order system to reduce overstock. Strong technical details blend in nicely with luxury.
Julia and Naiara met at the London College of Fashion in 2011. After many years spent as fashion buyers for popular brands like Inditex, Nike and Bestseller, the two talented designers decided to combine their Spanish and Scandinavian heritage to create their own unique label.
