Avison Young joins the Czech Green Building Council

Avison Young in the Czech Republic, a global commercial real estate services provider, has become a member of the Czech Green Building Council (CZGBC), a non-profit association bringing together companies with a common interest in high-quality buildings that support new construction and renovation based on sustainability principles.

Avison Young in the Czech Republic has joined the CZGBC to support its effort to encourage educational and legislative conditions necessary to promote both profitable and sustainable construction in the Czech market.

The “Vision Zero” objective of the Council – a state where buildings have zero impact on the environment throughout their life cycle – is in line with Avison Young’s endeavours and expertise related to green buildings’ certifications and ESG-related advisory.

“Avison Young is working to align our environmental, social and governance (ESG) program with international standards and frameworks that are endorsed by subject matter experts and supported by leading organizations,” said Stefan de Goeij, MRICS, Head of Sustainability and Property Management Services and Interim Chair of the Advisory Board RICS in the Czech Republic. “We are thrilled to become members of the CZGBC and use its frameworks and task groups that inform our sustainability work, values and related reporting.”
