Bob W, the tech-powered hospitality provider, has exchanged contracts to launch a 67-unit serviced apartment building in Vienna, marking its first opening in Austria.
The operator has signed a long-term lease agreement with Viennese developer Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH for a 2,000 sqm building, located in the Austrian capital’s historic Heiligenstädter Straße.
The aparthotel will be the first Bob W to open in the country and brings the total number of European cities in which it operates to 18. Construction has already started and the property is scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2025.
Niko Karstikko, Co-founder of Bob W, said: “Our expansion into Austria marks a significant milestone for the company. With a booming tourism industry and a dynamic business scene, Vienna is one of the most vibrant and promising markets in Europe, complementing our existing presence in the region.
“Our serviced apartments will provide flexible, sustainable, tech-led accommodation to tourists, digital nomads and business travellers who are looking for the reliability of a hotel and the amenities and comfort of a real home.
“We look forward to welcoming our first guests in Vienna as we continue to acquire, expand, and identify suitable assets across Europe for new Bob W locations.”
Peter Pilz, Operation & Commercial Manager at Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH said: “Bob W is setting new standards for innovation and modernity in the hospitality sector which will redefine excellence for us as landlords. The company’s relentless pursuit of exceptional guest experiences, combined with a deep understanding of the ever-evolving industry landscape, positions it as a pioneer in shaping the future of hospitality. We are delighted to collaborate with Bob W.”
Bob W was advised by Wolf Theiss in establishing its Austrian entity and finalising the lease agreement. CBRE facilitated the real estate transaction between Peter Pilz & Partner Projektentwicklungs GmbH and Bob W.
