CA Immo, the specialist in office properties in Central European capitals, which owns five office buildings in Romania with a gross leasable area of 106,000 sqm, has assigned the Austrian company PORR Construct as general contractor for the construction of the new project Orhideea Towers, developed in the Central-West area of Bucharest, next to Grozăvești metro station.
Orhideea Towers represents a total investment of €75 million and will be delivered in 2017. The construction has started in October 2015 with special foundation works provided by Octagon Contracting & Engineering Company, which are now being finalized. PORR Construct, assigned as general contractor, will enter the site in March, as planned by CA Immo.
“Construction of Orhideea Towers, the first personal development of CA Immo in Romania, is going according to the plan. It is an important project that will not only redraw the Central-West area of the city, but it will also set new benchmarks in terms of quality and sustainability for an office building. Therefore, the assignment of a reliable partner as general contractor is a key decision for the project’s success,” said Marian Roman, Managing Director of CA Immo Romania.
Orhideea Towers will have a total gross leasable area of 37,000 sqm and includes two towers, H-shaped, inspired by orchid petals, linked together by a bridge enveloped in a glass façade. The two towers will have 13 storeys (GF+12 Floors), respectively 17 storeys (GF+16 Floors), with generous surfaces of up to 2,700 sqm per floor and two underground floors. The building includes 406 parking spaces and bicycle storage, showers and changing rooms for cyclists.
The project will be developed according to CA Immo highest quality standards, in terms of design, technical specifications and sustainability criteria specific to green buildings. The project will apply for LEED Gold certification, as CA Immo has significant track record and expertise as a high-quality office developer. After completion, the building will be included in the CA Immo investment portfolio.
Orhideea Towers is located at the junction of Splaiul Independenței Boulevard and Orhideelor Street, with direct access to the Grozavesti subway station, benefiting from a unique location with excellent visibility from both Basarab Overpass, travelled by up to 100,000 cars every day, and Splaiul Independenței.
