Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC) has signed a binding lease agreement with Cinema City for 3,400 sqm of cinema space in Galeria Wilanów in Warsaw.
Cinema City, the largest cinema operator in Poland, part of Cineworld Group, the second largest cinema chain in Europe, will open a state-of-the-art, multi-screen cinema. It will enable residents of Wilanów and other southern districts of Warsaw to enjoy the newest movie productions in one of the 12 cutting-edge auditoriums.
“We are committed to providing the customers of Galeria Wilanów with the best leisure and entertainment offer and a state-of-the-art cinema plays an important role in this mix. Cinema City International is one of those key tenants that largely determine the attractiveness of a mall’s entertainment offer. We are proud to have such an experienced cinema operator on board with us,” said Jacek Wachowicz, GTC Chief Investor Officer.
Galeria Wilanów will be the very first major new generation shopping centre located in southern Warsaw. Designed by the renowned APA Wojciechowski and Moshe Tzur architecture studios, the gallery is planned in such a way as to provide maximum openness. The environment-friendly project features leisure areas and playgrounds. Leasable area will equal 61,000 sqm including ca. 250 stores and service points. Customers will be able to make use of 2,200 parking slots in underground and roof parking. Galeria Wilanów has already attracted a number of renowned tenants, including Carrefour, H&M, the LPP Group and many more.
