Sierra saves €34.9 million with the implementation of eco-efficiency measures
Sonae Sierra has saved operating costs of almost €35 million, with an emphasis on the reduction of CO2 emissions by 90 percent since 2005 and a reduction in electricity consumption by 66 percent since 2002.
The firm’s growing environmentally certified portfolio allows it to maintain its commitment to making its assets carbon-neutral by 2040. With a focus on carbon neutrality and sustainability goals established for 2030, Sierra has managed to lessen the use of resources on a large scale.

H2 Energy plans large hydrogen valley in Poland’s Lubuskie region
Westa Investments Group is set to create a 1,500-hectare hydrogen hub for hydrogen production and distribution in the Lubuskie region of Poland through its subsidiary H2 Energy.
JLL’s Energy & Infrastructure Advisory team will provide support. “We believe green hydrogen has the potential to revolutionize the world’s economies in the future,” says Rafal Skowronski from JLL.
The investment is at the stage of obtaining the required administrative permits. The project is expected to be ready for implementation in 2024, and the first deliveries of green hydrogen produced at the hydrogen hub may take place in 2026.
Rohlig acquires Joppa Logistics
Rohlig SUUS Logistics has acquired Joppa Logistics, a Czech company specializing in warehousing and transport services. The merger is in line with SUUS’s strategic goals of strengthening its position in Central and Eastern Europe.

Online cosmetics retailer leases over 28,000 sqm in MDC2 Lódź South Park
MDC2 Park Łódź South will consist of two distribution and logistics buildings with a total GLA of over 80,000 sqm. The building leased by Notino will be tailored to the client’s individual needs. MDC2 is the developer of the project. Fortress Real Estate Investments is the owner and financing partner of the investment.
