Retail deliveries continue in small Romanian cities
Four new retail projects with a combined leasable area of 30,000 sqm have been delivered in four smaller Romanian cities in the first half of 2023. However, new supply will be significantly more in the second half of the year, with almost 260,000 sqm of retail space due to be completed, according to from Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
“The biggest delivery in H1 2023 was Funshop Park Vaslui, with a leasable area of 10,000 sqm, developed by Scallier. In the second half, the biggest retail projects slated for delivery are NEPI Rockcastle’s Promenada Craiova, with a leasable area of 78,500 sqm, and Oasis Consulting’s Prima Shopping Center that spans 70,000 sqm,” said Dana Radoveneanu, Head of Retail Agency at Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
WDP buys warehouse near Pitești
Industrial developer WDP has become the owner of a warehouse in Mioveni, near Pitești, following a sale-and-lease-back deal with SFC Solutions Automotive Romania, a producer of rubber profiles for the automotive sector.
The site spanning 20,000 sqm is located near the Renault Dacia factory, which is of the main customers of the tenant company. The investment in the project stands at €10 million, said WDP in a report.
“This type of transaction is evidence of the sustainability and maturity of the local industrial market,” said Emilian Podar, Head of Industrial & Logistics for Crosspoint, the agency that worked with the seller on the deal.
Accolade completes second warehouse park in Białystok
The completion of the industrial park in Choroszcz, a Białystok district, Accolade announced. The new industrial park in Choroszcz consists of two buildings and has a total area of over 36,700 sqm.
Jarek Wnuk, Managing Director of Accolade in Poland, commented: “There are several reasons for the further development in Podlaskie, but key factors include a qualified workforce and available investment areas.”
Regesta renews its warehouse lease in Bieruń
Regesta, a provider of transport, forwarding and logistics services, has renewed its lease for more than 17,000 sqm in Park Tychy DC1.
The warehouse in Bieruń is very important for us due to its proximity to our key automotive clients based in Tychy and Gliwice,” says Marcin Szostak, Logistics Director, REGESTA S.A.
“Regesta was driven to extend its lease not only by its own needs resulting from its growth plans but also by the fact that its current location makes for an easy commute,” says Janusz Dudek, Senior Advisor, Newmark Polska, who represented the tenant during the lease negotiations.
The industrial park is managed by Czech real estate investment manager REICO investiční společnost České spořitelny on behalf of RCSN and White Star Real Estate.
