Two buildings of Lipowy Office Park sold for PBSA development
Futureal Investment Partners and 1 Asset Management, an investment management firm supported by real estate development company Hanner, have announced the successful transaction involving the division and sale of two buildings within Lipowy Office Park.
The purchaser, CEE Student Housing Fund, overseen by 1 Asset Management, aims to transform the property into a contemporary co-living and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) facility catering to students and young professionals.
Karol Pilniewicz, CEO of Futureal Investment Partners said “The vision of converting a portion of the Lipowy project into student housing perfectly aligns with the shifting market demands.”
“This acquisition fits seamlessly with our strategy of cultivating a robust portfolio of modern and sustainable PBSA offerings in the most dynamic academic cities in Poland and throughout the CEE region,” remarked Matas Mockeliunas, a fund partner at 1 Asset Management.
“Given the substantially unmet demand for student housing in Poland, we perceive numerous opportunities within this sector,” commented Arvydas Avulis, chairman of Hanner’s board.
SUUS completes pilot program for electric trucks in heavy transport
Rohlig SUUS Logistics has confirmed the potential for effective utilization of electric vehicles in heavy-duty shuttle transportation. During a two-week test, an electric truck covered over 2,200 km, reducing emitted greenhouse gases by 3.9 tons.
Fabian Szmurło, Domestic FTL Product Director at Rohlig SUUS Logistics, says, “Currently, the utilization of electric fleets in transportation involves significant costs, so the key condition for the implementation of such projects is the proper relationship between the customer, logistics operator, and carrier, as well as their readiness to commit to long-term and stable cooperation”.
Piotr Winiarski, Fleet Development Manager at Rohlig SUUS Logistics, explains, “The pilot allowed us to verify the effectiveness of using an electric truck for heavy transportation. By selecting appropriate transport solutions for this vehicle, including trailers with increased load capacity, and considering its range limitations, we achieved this goal.”
