Colliers International announces that the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) has designated Colliers a LEED Proven Provider for the LEED-EB:O+M rating system family. This designation was developed to streamline the LEED project review process for experienced organizations that demonstrate consistent excellence in administering LEED projects.
“In the four years since we launched our green building advisory practice at Colliers International, we have focused on implementing processes and procedures designed to assure our clients can execute consistency on the LEED requirements for existing buildings. Those same processes also assure we can deliver high quality LEED submissions to GBCI, significantly reducing the time and effort required for the review process. We are honoured that GBCI has recognized our investment by awarding Colliers International the Proven Provider designation,” said Michael Smithing, director of Green Building Advisory for Colliers International in Europe and Asia.
Colliers International is now among the only 9 elite companies worldwide designated LEED Proven Provider for the LEED-EB:O+M rating system. This rating is another milestone in Colliers’ commitment to drive greater value and improved performance for clients. Projects submitted by Colliers International benefit of important advantages during LEED certification process: faster review processes and trusted expertise.
As experienced provider of LEED services, Colliers International has assisted and finalized almost 30 projects in EMEA region, totalling more than half million green certified square meters.
“Quality is at the core of the LEED certification process, and Colliers International has exhibited expertise in helping to bring healthy, high-performing buildings to the market,” said Doug Gatlin, vice president of program delivery, USGBC and GBCI. “The LEED Proven Provider model represents a great partnership between Colliers International and GBCI, because it allows GBCI to maintain a rigorous certification program and gives Colliers International the opportunity to deliver LEED projects to its clients faster.”
LEED Proven Provider is designed to encourage and reward high-quality LEED project submissions to minimize the need for additional work during the project review process. It represents an opportunity for Colliers International and LEED reviewers to work together to enhance the LEED certification experience, simultaneously allowing Colliers International to further invest in quality control and continuous improvement and allowing LEED reviewers more opportunities for direct engagement with and support for project teams.
