Suntago Water World, sponsored by Samsung and Pepsi, is a water park that is part of the Park of Poland being built in Wręcza, near Mszczonów, Poland, is ending the stage of structural works. Finalizing the fit-out and some installation works remain before the opening, which is planned for Q4 2019. It will be the largest indoor water park in Europe.
So far, the construction of Suntago Water World has required:
• 42,927 sqm of concrete, more than three times that was used in construction of the famed Spodek hall in Katowice
• 5,655,884 kg of steel, comparable to the mass of thirteen International Space Stations
• 10,500 sqm of window panes, which would cover up 20 basketball courts.
The facility will offer: 18 swimming pools with a combined area of 3,500 sqm, 32 slides, 10 saunas, a Surf-Air machine for indoor surfing, 740 palms imported from exotic corners of the world, as well as bars and restaurants with a wide array of offerings.
“What’s more important than the numbers is the atmosphere we want to create at this site,” said Idan Greidinger, CEO of Park of Poland. “In central Poland, near Warsaw and Łódź, but also with easy access from other parts of the country and this region of Europe, we are creating a tropical paradise. Guests will be able to play or relax in the shade of palm trees. Our aim is to ensure them the best service and a feeling that they are on a magical exotic holiday.”
The remaining construction works for Suntago Water World will include finalizing fit-out and installation works. The opening is planned for Q4 2019.
According to Peter Dudolenski, Board advisor, “Every day over 1,000 construction workers are taking huge efforts to ensure that the largest indoor water park can open for visitors before the end of the year. We know how eagerly this facility is awaited, so completion of the structural work is a very important milestone for us. The final date for opening will depend not only on completion of installation and fit-out work, but also approvals and acceptances. We are confident that everything will go according to schedule.”
Park of Poland and Suntago Water World will be a place for guests dropping by for a few hours, as well as for fans of the tropical climate who choose to stay longer and enjoy the vacation atmosphere. The convenient base of lodging at Park of Poland will be available for this group. From the opening date of Suntago Water World, guests will be able to stay at Suntago Village, 92 modern, fully furnished bungalows with a play zone for kids, a space for group barbecues, and a central building with reception and mini-shop.

But I am pleased as a resident and member of the local community. Soon every one of us will feel proud that a tourist attraction of a European or even global scale has been built in our home region.”
The next stage of Park of Poland will be two hotels linked by a tunnel to Suntago water world. A resort hotel will be erected together with a conference area of 3,600 sqm. The ground floor will feature a ballroom of 1,150 sqm. The second planned hotel will be a high-end resort with a unique food service concept on the top floor should attract guests who appreciate luxury and world-class service. During the design and construction phase of Park of Poland’s accommodation base, the investor is supported by the Hotel Professionals Management Group team, who is also responsible for preparing the hotels and Suntago Village operationally for opening, as well as will manage the facilities after opening.
