Construction starts on Colosseum Mall in Bucharest – EuropaProperty

The construction of Colosseum Mall has begun as part of the expansion plan of Colosseum Centre located in Bucharest, and open since 2011. Colosseum is expanding following increased business and improved market conditions.

The construction will be undertaken by AXA TRANS CONSTRUCT.

“We are pleased to announce that we have finalized the selection process of the construction company for the mall and that the works started this month. Together with our partners, we are targeting the opening of Colosseum Mall towards the end of next year,” said Mihai Dinu, General Manager Colosseum.

The investment of €30 million will expand the existing retail scheme by the end of 2019 up to a total of 54,500 sqm of GLA, creating a mixed-use development with leisure, commercial and office segments.

“Over the last few years we have witnessed the growth of demand in the area due to the large number of residential projects completed with more being constructed. This will only further increase the demand and Colosseum Mall is best placed to take advantage of it,” added Mihai Dinu.
