MDC2 has chosen the general contractor for MDC 2 Park Łódź South. It will be Depenbrock Polska. The project is based in Głuchów – 19 km south of the border of Łódź. The facility consists of two distribution and logistics buildings with a planned total GLA of over 80,000 sqm. MDC2 Park Łódź South has already leased space to Notino, recently signing a lease agreement for over 28,000 sqm.
The owner and investor is Fortress Real Estate Investments Limited (Fortress), a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), the owner of a portfolio of commercial real estate. The developer of the project is MDC2.
Fortress, MDC2 and Depenbrock Polska share the same core values – implementation of ESG strategies is a key component in all decision-making – putting them at the forefront of companies implementing the most environmentally sustainable warehouse facilities on the Polish market. Depenbrock additionally brings to the project in Głuchów values resulting from decades of experience in the construction market, as well as from a bold approach to the implementation of innovative solutions, thanks to which, it may lead on the construction market.
“We work with the best. Thanks to a well-thought-out organizational culture, in our portfolio you can find partners who, together with us, strengthen the position of market leaders. Common values are the most important for us. We implement ecological, safe, and well-thought-out places for the development of warehouses, distribution, and production. MDC2 Park Łódź South will prove that every effort put into our projects means the highest quality,” says Marek Bodak, Proxy, Depenbrock Polska.
The standard in MDC2 is the selection of a general contractor who meets critical criteria related to the principles of sustainable construction, including among other low-emission of the materials used (including concrete and steel), compliance with the Environmental Product Declaration, testing the environmental impact of products at various stages of their life, detailed analyzes of the structure’s airtightness, as well as a comprehensive LCA.
“Our priority in the design and construction of MDC2 Park Łódź South was to select the general contractor in such a way as to provide future users with top-class buildings while maintaining their lowest possible emissivity. Trust in Depenbrock Polska – a competent socially responsible company – is the key to success. This will be felt by people working in the facility and staying on its premises. This will have a special meaning to the environment because the impact of the logistics and distribution park on it will be limited to the minimum necessary. With our projects, we emphasize how important is to care for the environment in which we live. We want our activities to have a positive impact on the entire warehouse industry, tenants, and – as a priority – on the quality of life of future generations,” says Piotr Kowalski, Construction Director, MDC2.
