At the corner of ul. Kilińskiego and al. Piłsudskiego in Łódź, construction work has began on the first stage of the REACT office complex, with an area covering nearly 15,000 sqm. The entire office complex that the developer of Echo Investment will build here will have approximately 50,000. sqm of space. The first employees will move to new offices in the second half of 2020.
“Echo Investment is an investor that changes spaces important for Łódź not only in the city center but also in its historical areas. Recently, Echo has presented its idea to rebuild the factory complexes of Karol Scheibler’s empire with a unique monument – a beautiful Art Nouveau power plant. Today, another significant investment has its premiere. With its most recent project, Echo Investment returns to the East-West route project. The company will change the face of the intersection of al. Piłsudskiego with ul. Kilińskiego. This place needs a new frame, requires transformation and introduction of public buildings here. I believe that the investment will change this space and initiate changes at the other corners of the intersection,” says Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of Łódź.
For over 20 years, Echo Investment has been operating on major regional markets in Poland and thanks to that knows their diverse nature very well.
“For years we have been working with Polish and global companies, and that’s why we know their changing needs very well and can respond to them accordingly. Creating new office space is a complicated process that requires experience, knowledge of local conditions, active listening to customers, watching the dynamically developing market and, above all, efficient operation. The projects that we have developed so far in Łódź confirm the enormous potential of this city. We want to develop this potential and participate in the development of Łódź,” says Rafał Mazurczak, a board member of Echo Investment responsible for the office business.
REACT – a response to needs
Echo Investment received a building permit for the first stage of REACT in December 2018. Construction works have already begun on the plot.
“We are starting the construction of the REACT office complex, convinced that due to its good architecture and a great location in the very center of the city it would be a perfect place for business and employees. Already at an early stage of development, in parallel with construction works, we conduct talks with potential tenants for whom the REACT office building can become a new headquarters supporting the development of their business. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to create a space suitable and suited to its needs,” says Katarzyna Kubicka, regional director in the Echo Investment Office Department.
Łódź-specific element in the office space
The character of Łódź as an unconventional city full of contrasts was the inspiration for design and proposed solutions in the building. The image of the place is, on the one hand, art and creativity, on the other – its post-industrial buildings. The REACT project itself will be best defined by such terms as structure, modularity, order, light, or functionality.
A two-level entrance part with a reception and a chillout zone will be the heart of the building. On the mezzanine, there will be a coffee bar, and in the immediate vicinity – integration and relaxation zones. The project includes, among others, a canteen garden and space to watch movies.
The architectural office Litoborski + Marciniak is the author of the project. The first building of the complex will open in the second half of 2020.
Echo Investment’s good streak in Łódź
Echo Investment is one of the first investors and developers that believed in the potential of Łódź. The company has been present here for over 20 years. Echo built two hotels here – Ibis and Novotel, four office buildings for about 4,000 people, as well as residential areas with over 400 flats. Currently, the company is developing four projects with more than 600 apartments, and a month ago – at the former Karol Scheibler factory at ul. Tymienieckiego – started the construction of Fuzja – a city-forming, a multi-functional project combining offices, apartments, and a service and restaurant space.
