Galeria Echo in Kielce, owned by EPP, has completed the modernization of its food court. The new space called FOOD Street, was designed by the company’s architects in cooperation with a local graphic designer from Kielce.
“An important place in every shopping centre is the food court. The food court has not only restaurant functions but also social and integration functions. That’s why we decided to refresh the arrangement of this zone in Galeria Echo. We focused on a unique design based on street design elements, in which we used unusual solutions. In place of traditional chairs and seats, there are, for example, car seats, a bus stop and concrete road barriers, providing a completely new experience during your stay in our shopping centre. The changes introduced were enthusiastically received by both our clients and tenants. It’s worth seeing them with your own eyes,” says Jakub Ociepka, Asset Manager at EPP.
The food zone in Galeria Echo in Kielce includes almost 20 restaurants and cafes serving a wide range of food offerings. The new food court emphasizes this diversity, and the association with the energy of the city and street food is obvious – this is where you can try a variety of dishes from around the world. Visitors to FOOD street can feel like they are on an exotic street, but with a Kielce twist. The iconic SHL motorcycle from 1964 manufactured in Kielce, manholes bearing the city’s coat of arms, a Barkas minibus, a bus stop, car seats, traffic lights, lampposts, roundabouts – the urban style and references to the history of Kielce are visible at every step. The street atmosphere is emphasized by colourful, original works by local graphic designer Ola Banaś.
Galeria Echo in Kielce, the largest shopping centre in the Świętokrzyskie region, is one of the key properties in EPP’s portfolio. The facility has a total leasable area of approximately 71,000 sqm houses nearly 230 stores of popular Polish and global brands.
