Panattoni Europe, a leading developer of industrial space in Europe, is set to deliver its first logistics centre in the Gdynia area – Panattoni Park Tricity North. The 45,000 sqm project will be built in the vicinity of the Baltic Container Terminal and the Tricity Bypass. Construction works are scheduled to begin in June, and the first tenants will be able to move into the park by early 2020. The facility will meet the requirements of BREEAM certification.
Panattoni Europe embarks in Gdynia and expands its Tricity portfolio of distribution centres up to nearly 230,000 sqm. To date, the developer was present in four locations in and around Gdańsk, with 76,000 sqm completed and as much under development (80,000 sqm). Now the company has announced the development of Panattoni Park Tricity North in Rumia – 10 km from the Gdynia city centre. The project, planned to offer 45,000 sqm in a single building, is mainly intended to serve the internal market – the north of the Tricity metropolitan area (Wejherowo, Reda, Władysławowo). Commencement of construction works is planned for the coming June, and the first tenants will be able to move in by early 2020.
The Baltic Container Terminal as a doorway to Europe. The planned Panattoni Park Tricity North will be built 8 km from the Baltic Container Terminal (BCT Gdynia), poised at the intersection of maritime transport routes from Scandinavia and Western Europe. Container ships departing from Gdynia reach far corners of the world, such as Tanzania or Yemen. That is why it is an excellent reloading point, supporting the container terminal DCT Gdańsk. Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director at Panattoni Europe, commented: “Logistically, this region is the bull’s eye for building warehouse halls. Tricity finds itself en route of two important pan-European transport corridors: VI – connecting Scandinavia with Southern Europe, and IA – crossing countries along the Baltic coast, such as Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia By coming to Tricity, we are communicating to international businesses that we are ready to receive them and tailor our warehouse halls to their individual needs”.
Panattoni Park Tricity North comprises a single class A warehouse building with approx. 45,000 sqm, tailored to the needs of the local market, particularly the maritime sector, logistics and light industry. Tenants will be able to take advantage of state-of-the-art solutions in goods storage, numerous docks, ground-level access gates and spacious service yards. Additionally, the facility features many energy-saving and environment-friendly solutions, required to obtain BREEAM certification. Tricity North is an attractive location both locally and nationwide. The site is 8 minutes’ drive from the Tricity Bypass (S6 leading to the A1 motorway and S7 expressway), 8 km from BCT Gdynia and 10 km from the city centre of Gdynia. This provides for convenient connections within the region and efficient logistics throughout Tricity, and with the exit route out of the city just 3 km away (S6 turning into the A1 motorway), you can easily traverse the country north to south.
