Globalworth, a leading office investor in Romania and Poland, has started construction of the Globalworth Square office building. Located in the Barbu Văcărescu area of the New Business District in Bucharest, between Globalworth Plaza and Green Court, the project will have a total leasable area of approximately 28,000 sqm, spanning 14 floors of office space and three underground floors for parking, while the ground floor will include facilities such as a restaurant and various retail options.
“With the construction of this new building we are one step closer to completing one of the company’s most extensive and ambitious projects: creating the largest business hub in northern Bucharest. Globalworth Square will be connected to the Green Court complex and Globalworth Plaza, bringing together thousands of employees in one of the most sought-after destinations in the city. The building fits in with the urban style of the area and from an architectural point of view complements the two projects in its immediate vicinity. We want Globalworth Square to become the most technologically advanced building in Bucharest, a space that encourages innovation and creativity from the generation that will change the world of tomorrow. What is also important for us is the integration of the latest renewable energy technologies and, among other measures, we will be implementing geothermal and photovoltaic energy systems here”, said Dimitris Pergamalis, Head of Construction & Development at Globalworth.
Globalworth Square, whose name is inspired by the square footprint of the building, will respect the style of existing buildings in the area, both architecturally and in terms of high standards of quality and energy efficiency. The project is expected to be delivered by the end of 2020 and will provide its occupants with Class A offices, changing rooms for those choosing to cycle to the office, and approximately 450 parking spaces either outside or in the three underground car parks.
In addition to working spaces that integrate the latest technology, Globalworth Square will offer a range of facilities on the ground floor of the building such as restaurants, cafes and shopping areas. The building also benefits from good access to the public transport network, with a number of bus lines nearby and the Aurel Vlaicu Metro Station, just 200 metres away.
