Harden Construction to Build a 46,000 sqm Logistics Centre in Poznań

Harden Construction has commenced the development of a logistics centre in Poznań. The 46,000 sqm Panattoni Park Poznań East III project is being delivered on a build-to-suit (BTS) basis for one of the leading food logistics operators, specialising in the transportation, warehousing and distribution of fresh, chilled and frozen food products.

The facility has been designed and will be constructed to meet the stringent requirements of food logistics. Each warehouse zone will feature a precise temperature control system, maintaining temperatures of 2–4°C in chilled storage areas and 16–18°C throughout the remaining operational spaces.

“A key technological feature of the project is its dedicated, comprehensive refrigeration system, which will ensure consistently low temperatures throughout the warehouse. This solution delivers maximum energy efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of microbiological safety for stored goods and minimising the facility’s environmental impact,” said Paweł Fiuczek, Managing Director of Harden Construction.

The facility has been designed in accordance with sustainable construction principles and is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification.

Harden Construction will implement a waste heat recovery system that captures heat generated by the refrigeration installation and reuses it to heat the office areas. In addition, the roof structure and electrical infrastructure will be prepared for the future installation of photovoltaic panels.

The project also includes solutions that promote responsible water management. Following initial treatment, rainwater will be collected in a retention basin or drainage channels for controlled management.

The scheme will also provide parking for approximately 300 passenger vehicles and 120 heavy goods vehicles.
