After a two-year break, one of the most important events of the real estate industry returns – JLL Real Estate Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament 2022. The event’s eleventh edition will take place on August 4 at Monta Beach Volley Club in Warsaw.
As in previous years, the main objective of the event is to work together for the benefit of society’s most in need. JLL plans to donate the funds raised during the tournament to an organization that supports the most pressing and current needs. This year, due to the ongoing war, as a gesture of solidarity with our neighbours, the funds raised during the charity auction will be donated for fundraising for the Polish Humanitarian Action. Putting diversity at the centre, JLL also plans to support the Centre for Women’s Rights Foundation.
“The JLL 11th Real Estate Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament 2022 for the real estate industry is a special opportunity to integrate our environment in the spirit of sports competition as well as fun and to combine the sector’s strengths for a unique goal. Acting in the spirit of ESG, together with our partners and clients, we want to empower changes that matter,” says Paulina Smaszcz, Head of Marketing & PR, JLL Poland.
As befits any sports event, there will be genuine sports rivalry. Matches of amateur corporate teams of seven people, which all have at least one female teammate, will play on several courts simultaneously. The matches, which will be held by professional referees, will go on throughout the day. The sports warm-up will be conducted by volleyball players who have represented Polish beach volleyball teams over the years. During the event, there will be free admission for supporting families, fan clubs, friends, acquaintances, and cheerleaders.
After the tournament and the winning teams have been awarded their prizes, there will be an after-party, during which a charity auction will be held to benefit selected organizations. The charities for this year’s tournament are the fundraising for the Polish Humanitarian Action and the Centre for Women’s Rights Foundation.
“I hope that this year we will break the 2019 record. That year saw 60 teams, 420 players and 2,500 guests, and a staggering PLN 1,200,000 donated to “Na Ratunek Dzieciom z Chorobą Nowotworową” (To Rescue Children with Cancer Foundation) enabling the purchase of the latest generation of medical devices for innovative cellular therapies for the young patients at the Przylądek Nadziei (Cape of Hope) oncological clinic in Wrocław. We would like to thank everyone who will participate with their energy, fighting spirit and enthusiasm. We would love to see you all at this year’s eagerly anticipated event,” adds Paulina Smaszcz.
