P3, a leading, pan-European owner, developer and manager of logistics property, has added another large multinational corporation to its customer list. JYSK, the Danish-based global retail chain selling household and interior décor products, is to occupy 10,504 sqm of warehouse space at P3 Piotrków park in central Poland. This is the first deal to be signed between the two parties.
JYSK has taken space previously occupied by InPost, which relocated to a larger warehouse built by P3 at P3 Piotrków park at the end of last year (2016). The warehouse vacated by the independent postal operator remained vacant for just two months, underlining just how attractive the park is to customers. JYSK will set up a “buffer” warehouse at the park, where products will be stored, sometimes for several months, before being shipped to the company’s main distribution depot and from there to individual stores or customers throughout Europe.
Bartek Tulejko, Logistic Manager Central-East Region for JYSK, said: “Our first transaction with P3 has gone very well. We managed to agree the contract terms quickly and close the deal within our timetable. This reflects well on the business acumen and flexibility of the P3 team. We hope that the dedication we saw in the negotiation phase will continue throughout our occupation of the space. In addition to our own distribution centre in Radomsko – which has storage space for almost 200,000 pallets – JYSK already leases a total of 100,000 sqm of warehouse space in Poland.”
There is currently 90,105 sqm of existing warehouse space at P3 Piotrków together with land allowing the construction of an additional 400,000 sqm. The park’s location in central Poland makes it an ideal base for national and international distribution.
