Marel, an Icelandic company operating in over 30 countries, opened its first shared services centre in Poland. One of the leaders in the food processing field will occupy 1,000 sqm of office space at Brama Miasta – an investment developed by Skanska in Lodz.
Marel, a specialist food processing solutions provider, has moved into Brama Miasta – a complex which offers 40,800 sqm of office space. This international organization currently employs about 7,000 people – and 60 of them will be working in Lodz. The Marel team will be systematically expanded in the future.
“We are delighted to announce that we have chosen Brama Miasta for our new office in Lodz. As a new employer in the city, we intend to create a workplace in accordance with Marel’s global standard, which guarantees an outstanding working environment that promotes collaboration, innovation and commitment,” says Monika Ciupinska, Shared Services Center Lead at Marel. “We have been looking for an office that meets even the highest expectations of our current and future employees. Our requirements have been fulfilled by the convenient access from different parts of the city and the vicinity of Piotrkowska Street that is full of cafes and restaurants. I am convinced that our employees will appreciate our choice.”
“We are very happy that Marel, another company that is new in Lodz, has chosen our building for its future head office. Brama Miasta fits in very well with the dynamically changing Nowe Centrum Łodzi, a district offering the best conditions for business development,” says Paulina Strutyńska, Leasing Manager at Skanska’s commercial development business unit in CEE.
Brama Miasta meets the global standards of workplace safety. This has been recognized by experts of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and confirmed by the WELL Health-Safety Rating certificate. Connected by Skanska is operational at the building – it is an innovative platform that integrates the management of various functions of the building and makes it possible to, for instance, enter the building using a smartphone. The investment has been fully adapted to the needs of individuals with reduced mobility.
Brama Miasta is located in the area of many complex city-forming projects. Very close to Brama Miasta, an urban woonerf with many plants and small architecture as well as the Kobro Square with the new city hall have been planned. One of the main advantages of the office building is the vicinity of the Łódź Fabryczna railway station and the “Lodz metro” station (currently under construction). When coming to Brama Miasta, you can use the new street (Hasa) that goes under Rodziny Scheiblerów
