Woolworth, a pioneer of multi-brand, large-format discount shops, will enter a retail park under construction in Bielsko-Biała, occupying over 1,000 sqm. This will be the brand’s first shop in the city.
The brand has announced a dynamic expansion in Europe, which is noticeably progressing from 2023. In the medium term, Woolworth plans to open a chain of 5,000 shops across Europe. In Poland, the company focuses on growth and continuing its expansion, with plans to open around 40 new shops in 2024 and a target of 400 units.
The retail park in Bielsko-Biała is one of the facilities being developed by Redkom Development, with commercialisation managed in cooperation with Mallson Polska. The opening is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.
Redkom Development has arranged space for 30 shops and service units within the 17,000 sqm of GLA. Six months before opening, the Redkom Group can boast a high percentage of leased retail area. The company has already announced lease agreements with Kaufland, Xtreme Fitness Gyms, Kodano Optyk, and Martes Sport. Now, the list of shops is officially joined by Woolworth, whose offerings include clothing, footwear, decorative items, household products, and small household appliances.
“The construction of the new retail park in Bielsko-Biała is already well advanced. With an opening planned for the end of this year, we are practically finalizing the commercialisation of the facility and successively informing the media about new tenants. Redkom Development’s leasing strategy involves introducing top brands characteristic of the largest retail parks in Poland and newcomers like Woolworth, which has only just begun its expansion in Poland. We are also leaving room for local businesses and services, which are extremely important to us and make the retail park’s offer complementary,” says Elżbieta Kutrasińska, Head of Leasing, Redkom Development.
