Net investment in Romania reaches €16 billion – EuropaProperty

Net investment in Romania’s economy totalled €16 billion in 2015, up by 8.4 percent compared to 2014, according to local reports.

The investment in new construction work went up by 5.2 percent to €7.1 billion, whereas the investment in new equipment, including vehicles, rose by 10.8 percent to €6.7 billion.

The other expenses increased by 12.3 percent last year, reaching over €2.2 billion.

Over 42 percent of all investments made last year were directed at the commerce and service sector (up from 38 percent in 2014) whereas the investments in the industrial sector reduced their share from 39 percent in 2014 to 38 percent last year. The construction sector and agriculture also reduced their shares in the overall investments.

In the last quarter of 2015, the net investments amounted to €6 billion, up 17.1 percent year-on-year.
