P3 Logistic Parks, a long-term investor, developer and manager of high-quality warehouse properties, has completed a BTS warehouse project at P3 Bydgoszcz Park for PDP Poland – a logistics operator which is part of Geopost, the largest international courier network in Europe.
Zbigniew Smyczynski, Head of Development, P3 Logistic Parks in Poland, says: “This is the first P3 and DPD agreement in Poland. I am pleased we can begin our cooperation with the development project for a modern cross-dock facility, built to the client’s specifications. Combined with its attractive location, I have no doubt it will meet our client’s requirements and will contribute towards their efficient logistics processes. The new facility in Bydgoszcz also marks our debut in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region, an emerging warehousing market on the Polish logistics map which is gaining popularity thanks to, among other factors, its central location.”
The building has a BREEAM certification at the Excellent level. The reinforced roof has been prepared for the installation of photovoltaic panels and solar collectors to be used to heat domestic water during the summer seasons. Ten electric vehicle chargers have been installed in front of the warehouse, and the next ten EV stations have already been planned.
Magdalena Chojnacka, Regional Director, DPD Poland, adds: “The new DPD branch in Bydgoszcz is a combination of advanced technology and thoughtful infrastructure design. All these factors support our readiness for further market development, the growing number of individual customers and increased volumes from business partners operating locally, regionally and nationwide. We have aimed at creating our branch of the future – the one that is flexible and productive in different aspects, open to the needs of the market and, at the same time, also employee-friendly. And that is what we have managed to achieve, so I want to thank the entire team working on this for their contribution to this project.”
The P3 Park is located in the south-eastern part of Bydgoszcz. The 13 ha plot will eventually house two warehouse buildings, the second of which will offer over 36,000 sqm of warehouse and office space.
Michał Kowalczyk, Leasing Manager, and Zbigniew Smyczyński, Head of Development Poland, were supervising the project on behalf of P3.
