Capital Park Group and NIKE’s authorised representative have signed a lease agreement for 426 sqm of retail space in Royal Wilanów – this will be the brand’s largest monobrand store in Poland. Royal Wilanów, an office building with a retail/service section, located on the corner of Klimczaka and Przyczółkowa Streets in Warsaw, will open in August 2015.
“The opening of a NIKE store in Royal Wilanów is an important element in the perspective of our brand’s development,” said Bartłomiej Kwiatkowski, the owner of the store. “While choosing locations for our stores we always carry out in-depth analyses of the potential of the site. Wilanów is one of the fastest growing Warsaw districts, home to young people leading active lifestyles.”
After the conclusion of the agreement with the new tenant the retail/service section is now over 75 percent leased.
“The NIKE brand is perfectly compatible with our tenant mix concept that is based on an analysis of the needs of Wilanów residents and those of employees of offices located in the neighbourhood. This agreement is all the more important to us as it will be the largest monobrand store of this brand in Poland,” explained Wojciech Nowakowski, Investment Manager at the Capital Park Group points out.
Construction of the Royal Wilanów office building began in August 2013 and proceeds as planned. Construction of underground car parks is already complete, with finish and installation works under way. The builders are also erecting vertical elements of the structure on the ground floor and preparing the structure for the first floor slab. The handover of the building is scheduled for August 2015.
Royal Wilanów will be a five-story building offering 29,787 sqm of modern office space. The underground section of the building will feature a three-level car park with 915 parking spaces for tenants and customers and a bicycle parking facility. 270 parking spaces will be available to the general public. The building will also have a retail/service section (6,920 sqm) with a wide food offer, outdoor dining spots, lots of shops and services.
JEMS Architekci architecture firm devised the architectural design. Responsibility for commercialisation of the retail and office sections lies with BOIG and Colliers International, respectively.
