Goodman has leased 3,050 sqm of warehouse space to NRF Poland (NRF), a European producer of coolers and air conditioning components at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre near the Deepwater Container Terminal (DCT) Gdańsk. The new agreement has allowed NRF to move out of its existing warehouse and into a brand new facility.
“NRF needed a new warehouse to meet its growing business needs. The customer was looking for a modern, high quality unit to replace their existing warehouse, with timing a key consideration to enable them to move in quickly into their new space. Location was also an important factor, with proximity to a seaport required to help facilitate NRF’s Poland distribution operations. We were able to satisfy all of these requirements with the flexible solution offered at Goodman’s Pomeranian Logistics Centre,” said Błażej Ciesielczak, Regional Director Goodman Central and Eastern Europe.
NRF is a leading producer and distributor of water coolers, air and oil coolers, radiator cores, box coolers, and air conditioning components for automotive OE and aftermarket, and a wide range of industrial applications. NRF’s production plants and distribution centres are strategically located across Europe.
“We see considerable potential for the development of our business in Central and Eastern Europe. In order to serve the clients’ interest in our products and ensure the highest level of customer service, we decided to significantly enlarge and improve our logistics base. Taking into account the way in which the global supply chain is organised, the location of the Pomeranian Logistics Centre in the vicinity of a seaport was ideal for our needs. It also satisfies the needs of our customers in a fast and professional manner,” said Sylwia Rutkowska, NRF Poland Managing Director.
Pomeranian Logistics Centre in Gdańsk is Goodman’s flagship development project in Poland. It provides a highly flexible opportunity to develop up to 500,000 sqm of logistics warehousing and production facilities with integrated office space. Built-to-suit warehouses are available from 3,500 sqm at this strategic location. Goodman’s in-house team of property managers will undertake management of the entire logistics centre and all of the individual facilities. On completion the total value of the project is estimated to exceed €300 million.
Pomeranian Logistics Centre has excellent access to national and international road, rail, air and sea transportation routes. Its location next to the DCT provides a unique opportunity for port-centric logistics, allowing customers to combine their logistics and production activities with the services offered by the largest deepwater container terminal in the Baltic Sea.
Being in the direct vicinity of the DCT also brings financial benefits for customers, including reduced re-loading, storage and transport costs. Other considerations include the possibility of establishing a duty-free zone and a special economic zone.
The Pomeranian Logistics Centre is just 23 km from the Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdańsk, Poland’s third largest airport, serving both domestic and international flights.
