ArtN, a revitalization project of the former Norblin factory area in Warsaw’s Wola district, will feature a cinema concept that has not been available anywhere in Poland yet. Capital Park Group, the investor of the project, has signed the agreement with a cinema operator OH KINO. The cinema will be available for the audience from the opening of the whole Norblin complex – at the end of 2020.
The cinema OH KINO will take up an area of 3,300 sqm, and will have seven theatres situated on one floor. The cinema operator is the chain OH KINO, which will provide the spectators with a brand new concept – a boutique cinema. This concept combines features of a multiplex cinema that are the most valued by the audience with the features of an arthouse cinema. The main objective of the concept is to broadcast movies on the highest multimedia and technology level, as they are shown in multiplexes, but in a cozy and intimate atmosphere, just as in local arthouse cinemas. Moreover, the space of the cinema will serve as a destination for meetings, galas and private shows, and its theatres will also feature a conference function.
The future audience will be able to experience a standard that has not been yet available in Poland. They will be able to watch the movies in a cozy, boutique atmosphere, and each of the theatres will provide the state-of-the-art technology standards, available so far only in multiplexes. The brand new multimedia technologies will be used for broadcasting movies and the seating will be arranged in a way allowing the spectator to watch a movie in an comfort or premium class. In addition to that, the theatres will be furnished with special sofas, allowing audience to watch the movies in a reclined position. The interior of the theatres will be maintained in a chic, trendy and artistic style, with a vintage touch, resembling the golden age of American arthouse cinemas. The interior will be designed with natural materials, such as wood, and will include elements related to the history of ArtN. The cinema operator will provide original lightning, adopted to seasons or time of the day. Also the catering offer of the cinema will go far beyond a classic multiplex food offer – the cinema bar will serve such products as healthy snacks. The cinema will be adjusted to the needs of the disabled – there will be special, dedicated seats for them. Spectators with guide dogs will be also welcome.
“The agreement with OH KINO that we have signed perfectly reflects the direction in which we are going with building the tenant mix for the future ArtN complex. This extraordinary space, combining many aspects of life – work with leisure, unique catering offer, trade, and also culture, which for us is an extremely crucial aspect, and which is even incorporated in the project’s name, requires original and innovative concepts. The cinema in ArtN will be such a concept – a comfortable space, surprising with new solutions, available for all audience. We are very glad that our tenant will design it with respect to the heritage of the former Norblin factory and that its interior will include a lot of elements relating to the industrial tradition of this place,” said Kinga Nowakowska, Operations Director and the Member of the Management Board at Capital Park Group, responsible for the project ArtN.
OH KINO is one of the youngest players on the Polish market. The chain, within the past 18 months, has managed to open three cinemas already – in Wrocław, Oława and Mysłowice, and is still dynamically growing. Another 12 locations of the chain will be opened in Poland by the end of 2021.
