P3, a specialist owner, developer and manager of European logistics properties, has handed over a new 11,252 sqm build-to-suit (BTS) production and warehouse facility at PointPark Poznań to Zaparoh, a manufacturer of high–quality furniture, such as sofas, chairs and beds, for online sale via parent company Sofa.com in Europe and the U.S.
The facility leased by Zaparoh will employ around 160 local people in the rapidly developing manufacturing and logistics hub of Gadki around Poznań in Western Poland and consists of 4,386 sqm of production space, 6,201 sqm of warehousing and 665 sqm in offices. Zaparoh selected PointPark Poznań because of the park’s excellent motorway and rail links to the rest of Poland and Western Europe.
PointPark Poznań is located some 10km south of the city of Poznań and close to the A2 highway, that since 2012 provides Warsaw with an unbroken motorway link to Berlin and Western Europe. The park has a total space of 194,569 sqm including BTS opportunities with valid construction permits for four buildings covering 88,000 sqm. Existing tenants include PF Logo Express, CEVA Logistics, DHL, Transpol CI, Hager Polo and Wheels Logistics.
Artur Zakrzewski, Managing Director of Zaparoh, said: “The opening of this production and distribution facility will further support us in our goal of supplying customers with high quality furniture at more competitive prices online than they can find in stores. PointPark Poznań offers a very attractive combination of an available labour force with a location that allows easy transport to our largest markets.”
