Panattoni continues to grow its portfolio of Kraków properties and has purchased a 9.6 ha plot 19 km from the centre of the city. Work is starting on a 30,000 sqm Panattoni Park Kraków East V. The first tenant has already been secured with 8,000 sqm to be taken by Highway Automotive, a vehicle parts distributor for trucks buses, and heavy machinery, including components for air conditioning, engines and cooling systems as well as for controlling exhaust emissions. From this location, the company is to serve markets throughout the world starting from May 2025.
“Our company is growing rapidly, becoming bigger every year. To fulfil our plans, we need a centre that is ideally suited to the needs of our expected growth but also optimised to meet the needs of our logistics operations and the work of our warehouse and office team. Panattoni Park Kraków East V 100 percent meets our requirements. The centre’s design is based on our needs and its superb location will be yet another extremely important advantage. We are extremely pleased with our future change in location as well as with our continued work with Panattoni,” comments Paweł Łysień, the COO of Highway Automotive.
“Above all, it is Kraków’s enormous human capital with the country’s second-largest labour pool that is behind the city’s business potential as well as the many respected colleges and universities, which educate workers for many different industries. For us as an industrial real estate developer, the main challenge we face to grow in this region is the limited availability of land. I am glad we were able to purchase a plot in such an ideal location where we can build a flexible modern centre,” comments Filip Noworól, the Senior Leasing Manager at Panattoni.
Panattoni Park Kraków East V is to be situated to the east of the city just under 2 km from the nearest junction on the A4 motorway and 9 km from the S7 expressway. This provides excellent connections to the country’s main cities as well as to cities abroad. Kraków Airport in Balice is around 30 km away. The centre’s flexible modular form means it can be used for a variety of purposes, from typical logistics operations to light production.
The new park, in line with the developer’s standard, is to undergo BREEAM environmental certification for a rating of Excellent, which will mean lower operational costs for tenants and will also help them to achieve their climate targets.
