Panattoni Europe is not slowing down. After a very good 2013 with a total of 90,000 sqm completed and 317,000 sqm under construction, 2014 has brought a hectic start to this year. The developer is working on investments totalling more than 343,000 sqm, including the facilities for Amazon – a record-breaking contract in Poland and the CEE region.
As of the beginning of 2014, Panattoni Europe has 343,000 sqm in the pipeline in Poland and the Czech Republic, including two distribution centres for Amazon in excess of 200,000 sqm, completion of a 50,000 sqm facility for Castorama Polska, and the final stage of development at BTS Polaris and BTS Kutno, as well as the extensions of its own parks. Panattoni Europe’s current bustle is a result of the developer’s dynamic efforts in 2013.
In 2013, Panattoni Europe delivered more space than any other industrial/warehouse developer – 90,000 sqm, as well as having the largest space under construction – an impressive 317,000 sqm out of the 713,500 sqm under development across the market. The transactions concluded by the developer accounted for more than 655,500 sqm, of which 378,500 sqm was in new leases only, i.e. 58 percent of the developer’s transactions. Of the remainder, 35 percent were renewals and 7 per cent extensions. According to the Warehouse Market Report for Poland 2013, prepared by Jones Lang LaSalle, Panattoni Europe also led the market in terms of net demand, standing at 33.6 percent, as well as gross demand, which reached 34.6 per cent last year.
Robert Dobrzycki, Managing Partner Panattoni Europe, commented: “Since its establishment in 2005, Panattoni Europe has delivered more than 2 million sqm of industrial space to the market. This portfolio, and our current projects, show that as a developer we offer a wide range of opportunities, from small to record-breaking spaces in excess of 100,000 sqm in a single facility.”
He added: “Our very successful 2013 and a good start to 2014, combined with dynamically growing markets, especially in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, stimulated by transformations in logistics and industrial processes, development of e-commerce and a general improvement in economic conditions across Europe, point to very good development prospects for Panattoni Europe.”
Panattoni Europe is currently developing more than 343,000 sqm in Poland and the Czech Republic, and its systematically implemented development strategy is appreciated by the market which has shown its recognition in numerous awards for the developer.
