Panattoni is developing a distribution centre for ORBICO Supply – a logistics operator from the Orbico Polska group, responsible for the distribution of over 50 global brands. On completion, the BTS centre in Teresin will have an area of 38,000 sqm.
One of Orbico’s key investments in central Europe is its distribution centre in Teresin near Warsaw. The BTS space that Panattoni is to provide will allow the company to distribute growing volumes of products and further expand the services of ORBICO Supply as a 3PL operator for external clients. Within the warehouse centre, there will be space for FMCG, cosmetics, beauty products, clothes and footwear with room enough for over 48,000 pallets in total.
“This development for ORBICO Supply in Teresin provides further evidence of how attractive the Warsaw market is for international distribution. Developing the existing space has proven that Panattoni well understands the needs of companies and the consolidation of operations within one new area demonstrates how great the massive potential that lies in our centres. We are glad that once again a logistics company has turned to Panattoni to help it expand its services”, says Michał Samborski, the Head of Development at Panattoni.
For the new space, Panattoni is preparing a number of solutions tailored to the requirements of ORBICO Supply. The developer is to adapt the space for partial automation including shuttle racks and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles). Moreover, the tenant will have the use of a VAS (Value-Added Services) zone. Within the existing building, Panattoni has also prepared over 1,000 sqm of office space.
“The extension of our central distribution centre in Teresin is a crucial component of Orbico Supply’s growth strategy both for Poland and also for Europe. By steadily growing our logistics capabilities both in terms of storage and transport and by investing in technology and nurturing the skills of our workforce, we will be able to permanently increase the volumes handled by our operations while also keeping costs in check and maintaining the quality standards expected by both our internal and external customers”, said Piotr Sędziak, Orbico Group Supply Director.
The BTS Orbico Supply development is located in the administrative district of Teresin next to National Road nr 92 from where it has easy access to the A2 motorway, which runs to cities such as Łódź, Poznań and Berlin. The location also ensures good connections with Warsaw, which provides the centre with easy access to high-skilled labour.
