Infinity Nord, a large urban regeneration project in Bucharest, has obtained the approval of the Detailed Urban Development Plan (PUD) for phases I and II. The project realised by Redport together with the Mobexpert Group, represents an investment estimated at over €180 million.
The three-phase project will deliver 2,000 apartments and 20,000 sqm of commercial space. Located in the northern part of the capital, the large-scale residential development will be built on a 44,000 sqm plot, with a total buildable area of 123,000 sqm. Plans include housing, retail, medical and educational facilities, along with 1,500 parking spaces.
“The approval of the PUD is an essential step in implementing our vision for Infinity Nord, a project designed around elements that support the concept of the 15-minute city,” said Dan Sucu, Founder and CEO of the Mobexpert Group.
Around 60 percent of the apartments in the first phase of the project are already pre-sold and 95 percent of the retail space is already let.
“Infinity Nord is a development designed with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and the integration of advanced smart living technologies. High-performance thermal and sound insulation systems, the use of sustainable materials and the integration of solar panels contribute to reducing the environmental impact and creating a nature-friendly neighbourhood. In addition, we are in the process of pre-certification for the BREEAM Excellent standard – one of the highest levels of international recognition for environmental performance and sustainability in construction. The development of the project will start this year, and the completion of the entire complex is expected by 2030,” commented Cosmin Savu-Cristescu, CEO and Founder of Redport.
Infinity Nord has also signed two strategic partnerships with Auchan and World Class. The Auchan supermarket will have a surface of 2,400 sqm, and another 1,800 sqm will be dedicated to the World Class Health & Fitness club, which will also include a 25-meter-long indoor semi-Olympic swimming pool with four lanes and a relaxation area.
“We are glad to take this step together with our partners, who have business experience and expertise in development projects, and to open an Auchan a modern neighborhood-format supermarket, ideal for everyday shopping and with a relevant selection of food and household products. on this occasion, we are coming closer to the communities in the north of the capital, offering a wide range of products, with a strong focus on affordable Romanian goods. All this, in a modern and welcoming store, designed for a fast and comfortable shopping experience”, said Ionuț Ardeleanu, CEO of Auchan Romania.
