Skyliner Everest Run 2026: 377 participants and 24 hours of competition

The 10th anniversary edition of the Everest Run, a 24-hour charity stair climb organised by the RK Rescue Support Foundation, took place on 21–22 February at the Skyliner office building in Warsaw. A total of 377 participants – including 297 individual competitors and 20 four-person relay teams – attempted to climb the symbolic height of Mount Everest by repeatedly ascending the building’s 42 floors.

For the first time in the event’s history, the fastest finisher was a woman. Klaudia Krajewska reached 8,848 metres in 11 hours and 20 minutes, setting a women’s record. She also dominated the ascents classification with a record 109 climbs to the 42nd floor, equivalent to 17,685 vertical metres. Among the men, the best time was recorded by Wojciech Pogorzelec in 12 hours and 24 minutes. In the team competition, Team Estonia set a new record with 150 ascents, covering more than 24,300 vertical metres.

The symbolic Everest distance (55 ascents) was completed by 112 individual participants and 18 relay teams. The oldest competitor was 82-year-old Giovanni from Italy, while the youngest participant was 19. Nearly 60 volunteers, 28 medical staff and 11 organisers supported the event.

“The Everest Run shows that an office building can become a place of integration, sporting challenge and real help,” said Szymon Zduńczyk, board member at Karimpol Polska, owner of the Skyliner building.

Funds raised will be used to purchase medical equipment for paramedics supported by the RK Foundation.
“Each edition is not only about results, but above all about concrete support for our activities,” said Jacek Jakubowski, director of the foundation.

To mark the anniversary, event partner Make Life Camper funded a special prize – a week’s use of a camper van – won by Marcin Dąbrowski.

The Everest Run has become a permanent fixture in Warsaw’s sporting calendar, combining extreme endurance with tangible support for emergency medical services.
