Veranda, a commercial centre developed in Bucharest, Romania, by Prodplast Imobiliare, has signed a lease agreement with Starbucks coffeehouse chain, and has now reached an occupancy rate of 85 percent.
“Starbucks completes the diversified offer that we are going to have in Veranda’s food court, so that visitors will be able to choose from a wide range of leisure options. Starbucks is one of the most appreciated coffeehouses on the Romanian market and we are glad that they chose to open a new location in our shopping mall. At the moment, all the spaces in the food court are leased or we are in advanced discussions with tenants,” said Andrei Pogonaru, developer of Veranda commercial center. “We are always looking to open new locations to be closer to our customers. Veranda has offered us an ideal space, according to our standards, and the type of project, its quality and excellent location have made this decision a very natural one,” added Mateusz Sielecki, regional director of Starbucks Romania.
Veranda will have a leasable area of around 30,000 sqm and is set to be inaugurated in the last quarter of this year. At the same time, with the opening of the commercial center, revamping the infrastructure of the Obor area will be finalized, valued at €2 million.
