Sun Plaza shopping center in Bucharest owned by the Austrian real estate investment company S IMMO AG, has this month completed the first stage of refurbishment and has reopened its redesigned commercial area of 7,800 sqm.
The refurbished retail space houses eight stores, including four new tenants: Altex, Terranova, O Bag and Autograf, which occupy a total of 2,000 sqm. The remaining space is dedicated to H&M, C&A and Bebetei, whose stores have been relocated to the redesigned retail area.
In addition to the aforementioned works, the mall also benefited from a reassigned metro and underground parking access.
The refurbishment of Sun Plaza shopping center began in 2016 and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2018. According to the plan, another 9,000 sqm of retail space will be refurbished by 2018.
Furthermore, the complex will also be expanded by an additional 11,000 sqm of retail and leisure space, which will house 40 new stores.
At present, Sun Plaza has a 100 percent occupancy rate and 90 percent of its newly built retail space is already pre-leased.
The mall enjoys a convenient and accessible location in the heart of the most popular area of Bucharest, Sudului Square. Its tenant mix comprises a diverse range of local and international brand names, including H&M, Adidas, B&B Collection, Ataellier, Bershka, C&A, BSB, Benvenuti, CCC, Colin’s, Deichmann, Desigual, Crabtree and Evelyn, dm drogerie markt, Ecco and many others.
