International drugstore chain Super-Pharm has leased 530 sqm in Skałka shopping centre. It will be the company’s first store in Tychy.
Super-Pharm maintains a “3 in 1” brand concept that is unique on the Polish market: it brings together a pharmacy, drugstore and perfumery under one roof. The combination of these three elements promotes a natural synergy between health, care and beauty.
Agnieszka Rozborska, Development Director at Super Pharm Poland, comments: “We selected Skałka shopping centre as the location of our first Tychy-based store after a thorough analysis of the retail market in the city and its surrounding areas. Advantages such as excellent location, large catchment area and the scheme’s interesting concept seamlessly combining shopping functions with urban space illustrate Skałka’s attractiveness”.
International advisory firm JLL acts as the sole commercialization agent for Skałka shopping centre.
Grażyna Melibruda, Associate Director, Retail Agency at JLL, said: “Super-Pharm’s decision to select Skałka as an entrance to the Tychy market indicates that the shopping centre also attracts retailers that were not present in the city before and who recognize the development potential of this market.”
Centrum Skałka is a development project of a shopping centre including the existing Auchan hypermarket, OBI DIY store and an extensive fashion, services and restaurant offer. Apollo-Rida is planning to develop a modern shopping centre comprising, apart from the aforementioned Auchan and OBI, approx. 90 stores of well-known Polish and international fashion brands as well as services and restaurant units. Ultimately, Skałka will offer apround 37,000 sqm of GLA. Furthermore, there are plans for an interestingly arranged public space with fountains and an amphitheater providing entertainment, cultural and integration functions. In addition, guests will have over 1,400 parking spaces at their disposal.
An important advantage of Skałka is its location in the centre of the city and at the heart of six residential projects. It is also in close proximity to a major road junction with convenient access to means of public transportation.
