Ghelamco’s two flagship projects have won in Office Project of the Year and Residential Project of the Year categories in one of the most important contests in the real estate industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
Awards for Ghelamco’s projects were granted at the tenth-anniversary edition of EuropaProperty CEE Investment Awards. Although 2020 is overshadowed by the pandemic, results of the contest show that the industry is not slowing down.
The international jury has recognised, among others, Ghelamco’s The Warsaw HUB, which is the most innovative office project in Poland. It is a complex of three skyscrapers with 113,000 sqm of space located at Rondo Daszyńskiego. It stands out with modern architecture, a variety of functions, and technologically advanced solutions. The tenants are provided with, among others, a dedicated application with an operating system for managing the office, navigating the building and switching to a pandemic mode, as well as with antivirus solutions such as UV lamps for lift disinfection, a special mode of air conditioning operation, or contactless building access systems. The project combines multiple functions and spaces such as offices, co-working spaces, hotels, restaurants, a fitness club, and a convenience centre.
Ghelamco has proven again that commercial properties are not the only area that the Belgian developer specialises in. The award-winning, impressive revitalisation of two Foksal 13/15 residences in the centre of Warsaw has received the Residential Project of the Year award. The more than 120 years’ old residences located in the vicinity of the Royal Route have been restored to their former splendour and enriched with luxury amenities, such as a SPA zone, underground parking lot, fitness room, or guest apartments, becoming one of the most prestigious locations in Poland. Interiors of the buildings have been carefully renovated. In addition, unprecedented reconstruction of the facade of the Foksal 13 residence was conducted based on the only survived picture.
“We are happy that we have been awarded in two such disparate categories. This shows that we are strengthening our leading position not only on the office market but in the luxury property segment as well. With The Warsaw HUB, we had the opportunity to set a new workplace standard by introducing innovative solutions and technology not used before on the Polish market. The revitalisation of Foksal 13/15 residences, on the other hand, was an enormous challenge in technical and conservation terms, which cost us a lot of time and work. This makes us even more proud that our efforts have been recognised,” says Jeroen van der Toolen, Managing Director CEE, Ghelamco.
