Two new stores for Italian cosmetics brand Pupa in Hungary – EuropaProperty

Cushman & Wakefield has secured two premium stores in Hungary for Italian cosmetics brand Pupa. Exclusively mandated by Pupa, C&W has now secured five new stores for the well known retailer in the last five months. Three stores opened in December last year, while the two latest outlets are due to open this month.

Pupa sells fashion make-up, treatment products for face and body, bath and after bath products, fragrances and creative beauty kits. The Pupa brand is owned by Micys Company, an Italian firm founded in 1976, exporting products to 70 countries all over the world.

Viktória Szabó Partner, Head of Retail at Cushman & Wakefield Budapest said: “It is an amazing success to represent such a well known and sought after cosmetics brand. Besides the three stores that are already open, we are currently negotiating to open another 5-7 units countrywide by the end of the year. The appearance of Pupa is a milestone in retail leasing and its proving the returning interest of international brands. We are confident that this trend will remain for the following years and we will soon be able to welcome even more new brands in Hungary.”

Andrea Conti, International Business Development Manager at Pupa added: “We have been considering entering the Hungarian market for a long time. In 2014 as the economic situation seemed to be slightly stabilised we decided to enter and to make the brand directly available in Pupa stores. Even though we are facing strong competition here, we are confident that we made a good decision.”
