The multifunctional Forum Gdańsk complex, designed to revitalize the historic areas of the former Hay and Crayfish markets, has another anchor tenant. It is VAN GRAAF, one of the largest multi brand fashion houses offering high quality clothes for men and women, ranging from basic models to the premium class collections of prestigious brands. The fashion company includes stores in Poland, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The store at Forum Gdańsk will be VAN GRAAF’s first location in Gdańsk and the second one in the Tricity. The new tenant will take up as much as 3,249 sqm on two levels (0 and +1).
“We are glad that VAN GRAAF has chosen Forum Gdańsk for its debut in Gdańsk. The store perfectly fits our fashion offering and I’m sure that the residents of Gdańsk will like its broad stock. VAN GRAAF’s entry to Forum Gdańsk is also a good news for the other tenants as the brand’s popularity in Poland increases and undoubtedly it will attract customers,” said Małgorzata Słowik, Leasing Director at Multi Poland.
Forum Gdańsk is a new, attractive destination comprising a retail complex and modern public spaces, currently under development in Gdańsk city centre. The project is designed to revitalize the historic areas of the former Hay and Crayfish markets. The development includes the construction of the “Kunszt Wodny” tourist and cultural centre, a new public transport hub and redesigned road infrastructure around the complex. The Forum Gdańsk project is being implemented by three partners working in cooperation: Multi Poland, the Gdańsk Municipal Authorities and PKP, the Polish State Railways. Construction work commenced in autumn 2014, with the grand opening planned for 2018.
Forum Gdańsk will offer 62,000 sqm of GLA, housing some 220 stores, the Tricity’s largest multiscreen cinema, a fitness club, restaurants and cafés, along with a multi-level car park for 1,100 vehicles. A completely new public space will be created within the complex: an urban square with restaurants and cafés, and an open access promenade running along the revitalized banks of the Radunia canal. Modern office space will also be developed at the project’s later phase.
Thanks to the strategic location in the very centre of Gdańsk, easy access to public transport, flagship stores and popular restaurants and cafés, Forum Gdańsk will become a lively and attractive place to meet, shop and relax for the Tricity’s residents and tourists alike.
