Ghelamco Poland is set to close out 2015 with the best result in leasing. The developer has signed lease agreements for over 80,0000 sqm during the last 12 months. This is trumpeted as the best outcome on entire Polish market. Further, Ghelamco will not not slow down and has announced the same dynamic development on the Polish market over the next few years.
The volume of the space leased by Ghelamco this year now exceeds 80,000 sqm which totals around 3-4 standard-sized office projects. This is the best result in the company’s 24-year activity in Poland.
Ghelamco signed 14 lease agreements during the last 12 months within currently developed projects in Warsaw and Łódź. Record deals concluded in 2015 include leasing of 24,000 sqm of space to mBank in Przystanek mBank for its new seat in Łódź, as well as leasing of 22,000 sqm to Samsung in Warsaw Spire. In its flagship project at European Square the developer leased over 56,000 sqm of office space in 2015. The lease of mBank was this year’s largest transaction concluded outside Warsaw.
Apart from above mentioned Samsung and mBank, the following companies and institutions chose the developments of Ghelamco for their seats: Adecco Poland, Benefit Systems SA, Bilfinger HSG Facility Management, BNP Paribas Securities Services, Centrum Unijnych Projektów Transportowych, Daftcode and JLL.
“We are proud of the results we achieved in 2015. The trust which our tenants put in us is an indicator of the quality of our projects. We are happy about the success of Warsaw Spire as we believed since the very beginning that this project will be special to us and the whole market. Warsaw Spire has changed Wola into a modern business district. We put a lot of effort in order to redefine the concept of office building through value added – a space for the city and people. The project of Plac Europejski, as a combination of commercial and public functions, was welcomed with a great enthusiasm. The vicinity of Rondo Daszyńskiego is an area of enormous potential and we are optimistic about our next projects in the neighbourhood,” commented Jarosław Zagórski, Commercial & Business Development Director Ghelamco Poland.
In 2016 Ghelamco plans to deliver over 131,000 sqm of office projects and will commence realization of investments amounting to 265,000 sqm including Sienna Towers and Warszawa Gdańska. Apart from Warsaw, Ghelamco plans an intensive development in regional markets as well as in the residential and retail sector.
