The redevelopment of Atrium Promenada in Warsaw is well underway. Over 80 percent of the redevelopment is now pre-leased. Upon completion, the refurbished flagship of Atrium European Real Estate’s portfolio will be the newest centre in Warsaw housing over 150 retail and service units in the latest concepts. The completion of the renovation is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2023.
The refurbishment, which began in February this year, includes the comprehensive reconstruction of the interior of Atrium Promenada on the side of Jana Nowaka Jeziorańskiego Street and the remodelling of the entrance to the shopping centre from this street. Ultimately, the gallery will offer over 90,000 sqm of modernized retail space, which constitutes over 150 opened retail and service units available to customers as early as spring 2023.
“I have no doubt this will be one of the most successful retail projects in Warsaw. Perhaps even the best. With the newest store concepts, modern design, atmosphere and an intense community engagement program. The catchment is continually growing, densified with new apartment areas for young families with high purchasing power and strong demand for entertainment and leisure time. Warsaw is the city to grow our business. We are strong here with 5 shopping centres and we know what works for each catchment. The modernization of Atrium Promenada is attracting strong interest from tenants. 80 percent of the GLA of the redeveloped gallery is already pre-leased. We are well on schedule with construction works. By this time next year, Promenada’s customers will have a significantly refreshed, richer offer – both in terms of innovative retail concepts and carefully selected brands. In total, once the modernization is finalized, Promenada’s portfolio will include over 150 retail shops,” says Scott Dwyer, Group Managing Director – Retail, Atrium European Real Estate.
The ground floor of the modernized part of Atrium Promenada will be dominated by premium and medium-level fashion brands. Their offer will be complemented by the health & beauty sector and cafes popular among Warsaw residents. Customers will also have at their disposal a zone of service outlets located near the Carrefour PRO hypermarket. The casual fashion offer and clothing for young people will be on the first floor. There will also be an engaging Euro Lider play zone for families with children.
The modernized facility will also offer its customers the biggest fashion store of future Atrium Promenada – a two-level Peek & Cloppenburg store with an area of 3,450 sqm and a fashion offer of many well-known brands.
As a result of the changes happening, Atrium Promenada will become the most interesting and most modern shopping centre on the right side of the Vistula river and the newest in Warsaw. It will offer its customers an even richer portfolio of brands in the latest concepts.
Atrium Promenada is functioning normally during the ongoing modernisation works. Customers can enjoy the main part of the shopping centre (renovated in 2018) with over 100 brands on offer. Cinema City, Carrefour, the Republika Smaku restaurant zone and the Piąty Wymiar play and workshop space will operate continuously.
