Budapest ONE has successfully attained the highest Platinum level of WELL Core certification for its final two phases. This brings the total certified area of the 66,000 sqm complex to the top tier of the WELL Building Standard™, which recognizes spaces designed to enhance health and well-being globally. Futureal, a pioneer in Hungary for its commitment to people-centric architecture, has now achieved WELL certification for several of its office developments, covering a total of 130,000 sqm of lettable space.
Futureal first introduced WELL certification to Hungary with the Corvin Technology Park on Corvin Sétány in 2021. This was followed by certifications for the two phases of Advance Tower and the initial phase of Budapest ONE near Kelenföld railway station. The first phase of Budapest ONE set a national precedent by meeting the stringent Platinum-level requirements in 2022, a standard now achieved by the final two phases as well. Futureal partnered with experts from ABUD Engineering to secure these certifications.
The WELL certification ensures that Budapest ONE offers the highest standards in air and water quality, acoustics, and lighting.
“The office market has undergone significant changes in recent years, with tenants increasingly seeking buildings that offer inspiring communal spaces and contribute to ESG goals. The success of Budapest ONE is evident as new phases have attracted major tenants such as Vodafone and BT (British Telecom),” said Gábor Radványi, Chief Architect of Futureal Development.
Futureal’s latest project, the Corvin Innovation Campus, is also designed to meet WELL Platinum certification standards. Located at the junction of Szigony and Tömő streets, this 16,650 sqm development is one of Hungary’s most energy-efficient office buildings, attracting key tenants like IBM and Turbine with its focus on people-centric, environmentally friendly, and digital solutions.
