Mitiska expands in Slovakia in JV with OPC Group
Convenience real estate investor Mitika REIM announced the acquisition of a retail park in the Slovakian city of Skalica. In a new joint venture partnership with OPC Group, Mitiska plans to expand its retail park portfolio in Slovakia in the coming years.
Tomas Cifra, Mitiska REIM’s Managing Director for Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia, comments: “Our plan is to target locations where these new projects will be the first modern retail schemes in the cities in which they are located, creating new opportunities for retailers and new go-to shopping destinations for consumers.”
Miroslav Tavel, Managing Partner of OPC Group, comments: “We are convinced Mitiska REIM is the right partner for us to roll out a retail park portfolio across Slovakia.”
Eden Retail Park reaches full occupancy
Eden Retail Park has achieved full occupancy, solidifying its position as the go-to shopping destination for the residents of Zgorzelec and the surrounding region, conveniently located close to the German border. The retail park is owned by Focus Estate Fund.
“Tenants such as Action, Decathlon, Sinsay, Komfort, JYSK, Maxi Zoo and others speak volumes about the quality of our tenant mix and customer experience,” says Maxim Shkolnik, General Partner of Focus Estate Fund.
Eden Retail Park’s leasing success can be attributed to the collaborative Cream Property Advisors and JLL.
ELI makes land purchase in Silesia
European Logistics Investment, owned by Redefine Properties, Madison International Realty and Griffin Capital Partners, has acquired land in Silesia, as part of its expansion strategy in Poland. The land will be used for a BTS industrial project. The facility, which spans 34,681 sqm, has been pre-leased to Fortaco Group. The construction is planned to be completed in Q2 2024.
“We continue to witness strong demand for high-quality warehouse spaces in Silesia, and we already have six existing projects and a land bank for the further development of two projects in this region in our portfolio,” says Pieter Prinsloo, Chief Executive Officer at ELI.
Manufacturer NEFAB takes nearly 11,000 sqm at CTPark Gdańsk Port
CTP has leased nearly 11,000 sqm of industrial and warehouse space to NEFAB Packaging Poland at CTPark Gdańsk Port. This move strengthens the company’s presence in the Pomerania region in northern Poland. By Q4 2024 CTPark Gdańsk Port which is near the deep-water terminal in the Baltic Sea region – the Baltic Hub, will comprise 117,000 sqm of industrial and logistics space across two buildings.
According to Artur Karnecki, Managing Director at NEFAB, “Analyzing various offers, we concluded that the chosen location is strategic for the development of our company due to the potential new customers in that area.”
