The commercial and financial company TAMP and Colliers International have signed an agreement on the comprehensive management of the Drive shopping centre, located at 8 km on the MKAD.
Under this agreement Colliers will provide the full range of property management services, assuming responsibility for raising the property’s profitability and value as well as the operational management and marketing of the shopping centre.
Drive is a modern retail centre with 42,000 sqm (GLA – 26,000 sqm) situated on the inside of the MKAD at the 8 km mark, which provides excellent transport accessibility and visibility. The volume of traffic passing the retail centre every day exceeds 200,000 automobiles. Furthermore, the project is situated at a site that has historically been devoted to retail, and this complex, which is now under construction, neighbours another already operating retail centre with GLA of 7,000 sqm.
The anchor tenants of the Drive shopping centre include an O’KEY food hypermarket (7,000 sqm), a HOFF furniture and interior design store (12,000 sqm), a Detsky Mir children’s goods supermarket (1270 sqm) as well as a food court and cafes. The retail gallery will host approximately 80 international and Russian brands. The project also includes parking for 834 autos. The official opening ceremony of the Drive shopping centre is scheduled for this coming autumn.
The project investor and developer is the commercial and financial company TAMP. The architectural concept for the project was created by the architecture bureau ASP. Investtorgbank has acted as a financial partner. Colliers International was appointed property management company for the retail centre.
Representative of the commercial and financial company TAMP: “In order to ensure the successful functioning of a modern retail complex it is not sufficient to simply build a quality facility with attractive architecture and a balanced tenant pool. A shopping centre needs to be competently managed, relationships with tenants need to be built and maintained, a lease policy established and rotation carried out when appropriate. Colliers International has extensive experience in property management, so we have no doubt that we made the right choice and hope that our cooperation will be fruitful and mutually beneficial.”
Marina Tolstosheeva, Regional Director of Property Management Department, Colliers International Russia: “The Drive shopping centre has a unique location. Thanks to its proximity to a major residential area with a population of 630,000 and its position on the MKAD, the property is guaranteed a high level of visitation. However, this traffic needs to be supported and increased over time, which is why it is necessary to bring in a professional management company that can handle this issue.”
