CTP, the largest listed developer and administrator of industrial and logistics spaces in Continental Europe, is expanding its collaboration with the Kuehne+Nagel Group, one of the world’s leading logistics providers, already a tenant in the CTP’s portfolio.
The over 50,000 sqm new lease transaction in its flagship CTPark Bucharest West is another confirmation of turning the spot into a regional hub as the goods will be dispatched not only in Romania but also in Bulgaria and Greece.
“Romania has major development potential in the operational and logistical sector at the regional level, and this partnership confirms the trend and evolution of CTPark Bucharest West as a regional distribution hub, along with all the parks in our portfolio. This partnership, which has given our client the opportunity to triple the area already occupied in the park, confirms once again that our constant investment plan creates opportunities and offers our customers flexibility and solutions tailored to their business needs, whether they are developments in the local market or in the region,” said Ana Dumitrache, Country Head, CTP Romania.
Kuehne+Nagel has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Pepco. The European-based company is a leading fast-growing retailer offering apparel for the entire family and household products at very low prices and has been present in the Romanian market since 2015.
Launching in 2023, the partnership with Pepco entails warehousing and automation services for the end-to-end distribution for Romania, Bulgaria and Greece with over 50.000 sqm of warehouse space. The site will employ over 250 people and the day-to-day operations will be assisted by a top-of-the-line pusher sorter.
The leasing transaction was brokered by the real estate consulting company JLL Romania.
“We are honoured to support Pepco and Kuehne+Nagel in this landmark transaction and glad to have found in CTP a true partner who values its customers’ needs and makes efforts to constantly adapt to them. We appreciate the trust they’ve placed in us during this project which is a vote of confidence from some of the most active players in the retail and logistics sectors and sends a strong positive signal on the dynamism of the industrial market ” declared Viorel Opaiț, Business Developer Director, JLL Romania.
