The Polish office of Eversheds Sutherland, a top 10 largest global law firm brand, will occupy the 18th and part of the 17th floor of the Widok Towers office building, located in the heart of Warsaw. A total area of over 1,400 sqm is to be designed with employee well-being in mind, tailored to the unique needs of the legal industry.
Eversheds Sutherland is one of the largest international legal practices, with over 70 offices in 37 countries. In Poland, the firm has existed since 1998 and provides legal support in all areas of business. The firm and its lawyers are recommended by prestigious international legal rankings including Legal 500, Chambers Europe and IFLR1000.
“The new location of our firm’s Warsaw office has been decided upon after careful consideration. As a team and at the outset of the process, we established a list of criteria that the new office should meet. Widok Towers is a place that reflects that criteria relating to, among other things, an attractive location, convenient for both our team and clients, the high standard of the building itself, as well as an environment conducive to building good relationships internally and externally. With a view to the continued growth of our business, we were looking for a larger workspace that would also meet current office market trends. We believe that Widok Towers future proofs us for subsequent social changes and continued growth,” comments Ewa Łachowska-Brol, Managing Partner at Eversheds Sutherland Poland.
The building has been awarded the highest category of green building rating system – the LEED Platinum certificate. Buildings with this certificate are designed to be of first-rate energy and water efficiency, with the use of materials that have a less negative impact on the environment. In addition, the office building has received the WELL Health & Safety Rating from the international building safety rating system.
“When choosing our firm’s new office, we paid particular attention to the environmental aspects of this change. The building has been designed with a focus on energy efficiency. Furthermore, in order to reduce resource consumption and waste generation, which is usually associated with the furnishing of new offices, we made a decision to repurpose some of the existing furniture and office equipment and incorporate it into the new office design. In selecting suppliers and service providers, their approach to sustainability was paramount in our decision-making process,” adds Ewa Łachowska-Brol.
Widok Towers was completed in 2020. It is one of the tallest office buildings in the centre of Warsaw with 28 floors above ground (95 metres high) and 4 underground floors. It is an investment undertaken by German asset manager Commerz Real for its real estate fund Hausinvest and developed by S+B Gruppe. Colliers has supported Eversheds Sutherland Poland throughout the relocation process. Bujnowski Architekci led the interior design of the firm’s new office. Eversheds Sutherland’s Polish team will move at the turn of July and August 2023.
“Widok Towers is located in the heart of Warsaw’s business district, making it an ideal location for a law firm. In addition, our building provides high-quality office space and a sustainable working environment. In choosing Widok Towers for its new location, Eversheds Sutherland is proof that more and more companies are paying closer attention to sustainability and energy efficiency. What’s more, Widok Towers provides an excellent recruitment tool to attract top talent,” comments Johannes Bauer, Head of S+B Poland.
“Warsaw office space tenants are most interested in situated in the city centre and in modern office buildings such as Widok Towers, which are not only perfectly located to guarantee convenient access to the office for employees and visitors but also offer the latest technological solutions. Considering the business strategy and needs of Eversheds Sutherland Poland, I believe that the decision to relocate to Widok Towers will prove to be an excellent choice and will contribute to the company’s further dynamic growth,” said Katarzyna Włodek-Makos, Associate Director in the Office Space Department at Colliers.
“We are delighted to be a part of this project. The new office of Eversheds Sutherland Poland at Widok Towers has been designed as a multifunctional space, maximising the use of daylight and emphasising the building’s greatest asset – the magnificent views. Our objective was to create a dynamic workplace which inspires teamwork whilst also allowing for individual concentration,” comments architect Marta Antosiewicz of Bujnowski Architekci.
