With the opening of the refurbished and expanded Intersport and Stradivarius stores, the first stage of the expansion of Arena Centar has been completed, so far expanding the largest shopping centre in the Croatian metropolis by around 2,000 sqm of the planned 5,500 sqm.
The renovation of Arena Centar began in January this year, all in order to respond to the brands’ great demand for space in Arena Centar. As part of the first stage of renovation, 10 stores were relocated and the renovation was used by many stores to refresh their own concepts and expand their offer to larger retailing spaces.
Replay Store opened a revised and expanded store in Arena Centar in April, making it the third store in the world decorated in the spirit of the new concept.
Sport Vision in Arena Centar has been expanded and redesigned as a premium store. At over 640 sqm, lovers of a sport lifestyle can find adequate clothing, footwear and accessories for enjoying sports grounds, nature and relaxed walks through the city.
Arena Centar’s Buzz has been redesigned to become the biggest Buzz store in Croatia and has introduced exclusive footwear and clothing into its offer.
A bit more than 450 sqm of the Stradivarius store in Arena Centar has been designed according to the latest ECO concept. The new concept is marked by the presence of natural wood, vegetation and light with an ecological effect.
The new Intersport store, now on the first floor of Arena Centar, represents the design concept 2.0. The exciting, open and dynamic space is a brand new way to meet customers’ needs with products.
Except for relocation, Bia Brazil, DermaCare, ShoeBox, Optika Anda and numerous kids’ stores have decided to renovate their interiors, and, in the near future, we will be seeing the new faces of Hoću knjigu!, Hangar 18, as well as the popular Carpyland playground.
By the end of the year, the second stage of renovation is expected to be finalized, bringing an additional 3,500 sqm as well as new brands in Arena Centar.
The opening of a new retail park outside the western section of the centre is also scheduled for 2019, which will expand Arena Centar with a new 8,000 sqm sales area and further enhance the entire shopping venue.
“Such a significant investment before the end of the first decade of the centre is not that common and is an indicator of the importance and market success of Arena Centar. We have decided to expand because of the great interest of new brands to enter Arena Centar, but also because of the demands of existing retailers to expand their stores. This is also the best indicator of the great business of retailers in Arena Centar, as well as the popularity of the Arena Centar among customers. From the very beginning, we have been strategically focused on the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers, whose interests we put first even during this renovation,” said Tomislav Dekalić, director of Arena Centar.
