Following the success of the previous stages of Outlet Park Szczecin, it is now time for the fourth stage, the construction of which is to finish in autumn this year. The project is fully leased a few months before its opening.
“When we completed our first project in Szczecin – the Galaxy shopping centre – in 2003, we knew that the city had a great potential,” said Marcin Materny, member of the board and director of Echo Investment’s Shopping Centre Department. “With an excellent project in the inner city centre, we opted for another project on the right bank of Szczecin. This time we focused on a completely innovative format that combined the outlet offer, the regular offer and entertainment, which has worked perfectly at this site as it has been beating footfall records since 2012. Thus the decision to develop three next stages of Outlet Park Szczecin was a natural consequence of the success. I must also emphasize that leasing 100 percent of a project is a priority issue in the commercialization process, regardless of the development.”
Michał Banasik, senior leasing manager in Echo Investment’s Shopping Centre Department, said: “A lot of interest in Outlet Park Szczecin among our tenants results from its excellent location with convenient access as well as the project itself: its compact character and comfortable solutions as well as a unique variety of functions. We created an exceptional mix for the people looking for the best brands at attractive prices, regular shops offering the latest collections as well as non-retail functions such as a medical clinic, a modern cinema and a fitness club. I think that the success of the project mostly results from the fact that it is not a typical outlet format but something considerably more. It is also worth emphasizing that we prolonged all contracts in the existing part of the outlet and the project is 100 percent leased.”
Outlet Park Szczecin will soon gain brands including: Guess (350 sqm), Pierre Cardin (92 sqm) Tru Trussardi (150 sqm), Solar (160 sqm), By o La La (55 sqm) and two large-format shops: Onyx Fashion Gallery (560 sqm) and PDM Outlet (350 sqm) offering women’s, men’s and children’s clothing as well as footwear and accessories of the most famous, prestigious brands.
Outlet Park Szczecin is the largest and the only outlet centre in the West Pomeranian region. It is located in Szczecin’s Prawobrzeże district. The outlet park offers branded products which are from 30 to 70 percent cheaper compared to regular shop prices. A seven-screen Helios cinema is an additional asset of the project as well as the section of the facility which includes Smyk Mega Store and Piotr i Paweł supermarket. After its extension, Outlet Park Szczecin includes 100 shops and 900 parking spaces. Its new section, which was opened in autumn 2016, includes a shop of the Media Expert chain (over 900 sqm), a BeFit fitness club (1,500 sqm) and a Dom Lekarski medical centre (900 sqm).
Outlet Park Szczecin, which is developed by Echo Investment, is currently part of the portfolio of Echo Polska Properties – a Dutch company operating on the basis if the REIT formula and investing in the real estate sector, particularly in retail, office and warehouse properties all over Poland.
