Immofinanz commissions ECE Russia to manage Golden Babylon Rostokino shopping center in Moscow – EuropaProperty

IMMOFINANZ Russia has commissioned ECE with the management, leasing, and marketing of Golden Babylon shopping center in Moscow Rostokino.

The mall was opened in 2009 and comprises a leasable area of 165,000 sqm and more than 450 shops. It is anchored by an O’Key hypermarket, a Stockmann department store, MediaMarkt, all Inditex retail concepts, an H&M store as well as a cinema, a food court, and a DIY-store. The center is situated at one of Moscow’s main traffic arteries and features approximately 5,000 parking spaces. More than three million people live in its catchment area.

“We have more than ten years of experience on the Russian market and we intend to acquire further properties of international or Russian ownership. The “Golden Babylon” at the Mira Prospekt of Moscow is one of the largest inner-city shopping centers in Europe. We are pleased to be entrusted with the management of the property and, together with the tenants, we will develop the center further. Cooperating with IMMOFINANZ Russia will be fruitful for both companies and take our activities in Russia to a new level,” said Stefan Zeiselmaier, Managing Director of ECE Russia.

ECE Russia also took over the management for another shopping center in Moscow. ECE is managing DreamHouse in Moscow as part of a Joint Venture with the Romanov Property Holdings Fund. Dream House comprises a leasable area of about 9,200 sqm and approximately 65 shops. ECE Russia was founded in 2004 and currently operates Vremena Goda in Moscow and Aura in Yaroslavl, which the company successfully introduced into the market.
