Jean Louis David, a French hairdressing chain, has become the first tenant of the renovated historical tenement house at Nowy Świat 66 in Warsaw. Cushman & Wakefield acted as agent in the leasing transaction.
Jean Louis David is the largest hairdressing chain in Poland and Europe, second largest in the world. The prestigious brand offers over 1,000 salons, constantly adding new franchise establishments. The company is renowned for their easy-going modern cuts with natural colours and styles, satisfying the needs of the most sophisticated customers looking for the highest standards and exceptional service.
“Jean Louis David’s new flag parlour on Nowy Świat will complement the brand’s prestigious image. This location will attract the most sophisticated customers, who tend to avoid shopping centres and prefer more exclusive venues. Nowy Świat is regarded as “Warsaw’s salon”, so the new establishment will appeal to those looking for the highest quality, individual service and unique atmosphere. We have also introduced modern visualisations in the shop windows, using screens instead of the traditional posters. At the stage of interior design, we took into account the exceptional nature of this location,” said Tomasz Bączyk, Member of the Board, Provalliance Poland.
Jean Louis David’s new salon will occupy 120 sqm on the ground floor of a historical tenement house at Nowy Świat 66 in Warsaw. The 18th century building was reconstructed in the late 1940s by the Bazarnik family. Thanks to the recently completed general renovation, the building has been restored to its former splendour, while at the same time adapted to the modern technical standards. It offers 770 sqm of usable area. This autumn, a 4-star boutique hotel with 18 rooms and dining facilities will open in this location.
“We have completed a general renovation of the building, restoring its former splendour, while at the same time adapting it to the modern technical standards. We are confident that the newly opened hairdressing parlour will be a perfect fit for the boutique hotel currently under construction,” said Bartosz Nowakowski, Finlog Noris Polska.
According to Cushman & Wakefield’s research, Nowy Świat is the most expensive retail high street in Poland, and the 43rd in the world.
“Nowy Świat is the best location for a luxury hairdressing salon, as the most elegant street of Warsaw, a city referred to as the “Paris of the East” in the interwar period. We believe that this prestigious brand will be an ideal match for the elegant nature of the area,” said Daria Kotarska, Senior Negotiator, Retail Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.
